my internet browser dont work
my baby dont sleep
but the laundry is done
and a fan whirrs this hot day away
i cut the tie today
to work that pays well
for now
the baby yearns to crawl
looks across the room
lunges onto his face
can sit and use two hands to eat a scarf
he said "a-ma"
probably nothing
but my heart flipped
this is what you type with one hand
while an infant with hot skin
holds your other arm in place

The latest offerings aren't exactly poems. I am just trying to tell the truth in the simplest way I know how, paying attention to phrasing and the sounds of language.
