People working together can accomplish incredible feats.
In order to do this, we voluntarily put ourselves under the leadership of someone we trust. They fill the role of leader, and we fill the role of the led. The leader directs everyone's energy, physcial and psychic, toward the goal.
People will always differ on the details, and will always have their issues with authority. Fortunately, the group energy, based in trust, is propulsive.
If, however, the leader is untrustworthy, the shared work cannot be done. No one will willingly give herself to the agenda.
If I deeply trust myself-- if I have confidence in the process of identifying the truths in my life-- then the foibles of those appointed to lead are not deeply threatening. And the shared agenda has a chance to continue.
